How to use it:
Reach out to somebody who is a professional or has a direct experience of the field of research. Prepare specific questions to ask and note or record the conversation (a zoom recorder with double microphone is ideal).

When to use it:
When literature research is not giving enough informations and when the chance of talking to somebody allows for specific questions to find answers.
When a personal and intimate approach is recommended.

Reflection:
This method is still relatively new to me. I believe it can give insights that are more intimate than with literature research. It is also a method than can become part of the production in the case of recordings.
